Dh Flight of the Bumblebee at Thuas Academy

~"Sounds like we're going to get an opportunity to show off today, Bee," Shoy informed the stallion as she adjusted one of the many straps that kept Bee's saddle in place. "We're doing a flying assessment this morning. We'll get a chance to scope out the competition and let them see just how quick you are!"
Bee snorted and stretched out a wing, forcing Shoy to duck to avoid getting her helmet knocked off.
"Hey! Watch where you're putting that!" Shoy scolded playfully, straightening up and nudging the Pegasus in the shoulder. "We can't show off if you leave me in the stall, you goof!" She caught Bee's eye and, recognizing the playful sparkle she saw there, shook her head. "Alright, alright; we can go outside now."
Shoy led Bee out to the yard, where the other students were gathering. She waved at Katrina as the red-head passed with Tropical Flight before turning to face Bee. "You ready?" she asked, smiling.
Bee nickered and flared his wings in answer.
"I thought so," Shoy laughed, swinging up onto the Pegasus' back and clipping her flight harness into the saddle. "Let's show 'em what we can do!"

~Second assignment for Thuas Academy! Our fearless leader noebelle may be taking a bit of a hiatus, but that's not going to stop me from getting my stuff finished!
Shoy and Bee are both known at Dragonheart for being a bit show-off-ish, so neither of them was going to let this opportunity to strut their stuff go to waste! This was a fun one to do, even if it did take me quite some time to get Shoy seated right... For someone who doesn't like drawing people, I've been drawing quite a few of them lately. I guess this is good for me; I'm getting outside of my comfort zone and learning as I go. Here's hoping that some day soon I'll be able to draw a horse and rider in a pose that doesn't seem like it would be extremely uncomfortable for both parties!
